Paws & Claws Animal Sanctuary

Paws & Claws was formed of a father and daughter team who wanted to help big cats and bears in need. We visited with other sanctuaries and zoos to see what we were getting into. After careful consideration we decided that we would dedicate our time and lives to the care of these animals. We get up every day and put the animals ahead of our needs. Cage cleaning, feeding, medical attention and bathing are everyday events. At times people will comment that Im crazy, but this is what I was put here to do. Some of our animals are from zoo's closing, other sanctuaries over crowded or closing and from private owners who can no longer care for them. We are not rich by any means, we work hard for everything we have. This is not a job for us its all pleasure even if we get frustrated at times. The animals are loved and they give it back too. The love the animals give us is worth it all, we will be taking care of lions tigers and bears til the day we can no longer do it in a safe manner for ourselves and the animals. We will pass our sanctuary onto family and friends and hope that is here forever to give an animal in trouble a place to go.
